Nope, it's not a fictitious fact about Bollywood star Salman Khan. Controversial author Salman Rushdie seems to have been hooked on acting now-a-days. The buzz is that the writer has been calling up various casting directors to offer him more films after being bitten by the acting bug.
The controversial author made his debut playing a gynecologist in Helen Hunt movie Then She Found Me.
Rushdie, once issued with a fatwah after the release of his 1998 controversial novel The Satanic Verses, admits that he has just realized the acting potential hidden in him.
The 60-year-old pen-smith says, “When I was at college, I did more acting than writing, but I discovered I wasn’t any good, so I did the other things. Now it’s like an unscratched itch. So if there are jobs, I’m available.” (SAMPURN)
