Nicole Richie and Madden celebrate success in their charity work

New parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are celebrating after they had a raise from $10,000 to a whopping $35,000 which is required for kids' playground. The best part is that they did all this in just a week.

The couple launched the Text CHILD to 90999 campaign, as part of the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation, at the beginning of last week and they’re almost a third of the way towards the goal already.

The money from the initiative will help fund a state-of-the-art playground for kids at the Beyond Shelter in Los Angeles.

Almost 2,000 fans and parents have donated the required after texting the campaign. (SAMPURN)
