Studious Spiderman star James Franco was so determined not to let his acting interfere with his school work he’d often fly to Los Angeles from a film location just for a UCLA class.
The actor was studying for an English literature degree at the university while he was shooting new Harvey Milk biopic Milk with Sean Penn in San Francisco, California and he often had to dash from the set to attend an important lecture.
Franco tells that was a little crazy (but) somehow it worked. There were some days when we were doing night shoots when he would fly from San Francisco to L.A. in the morning, go to class, and then go from UCLA to the airport, fly back, and then work on Milk.
The effort worked out for Franco. He graduated from UCLA in June (2008).
He has since enrolled at New York University (NYU), where he is currently taking masters degrees in writing and film directing. -(SAMPURN)
