Steve Jones union with the Stooges

British punk icon Steve Jones has offered his services to Iggy Pop as the Lust or Life hit-maker contemplates life after the death of The Stooges guitarist Ron Asheton. Asheton, 60, reportedly died from a heart attack on 6 January (09); just months after reconciling with Pop for a Stooges comeback.

But Jones is keen to keep the band’s plans on track after quitting his job as a Los Angeles DJ.
He tells the Los Angeles Times that he and Pop have been talking about Jones becoming an honorary member of The Stooges for upcoming tour dates.   – Sampurn Media
