Old dogs Movie Review

Old Dogs is an American comedy movie that was released in November 2009. Wild Hog’s Walt Becker directed the movie.

John Travolta and Robin Williams played the lead roles and won hearts with their exceptional and pleasing performance. The movie has earned appreciation all around. This movie was not age centric but was open for all generations. It kept both the adults and children attracted. It could be related to both parents and children at the same time. Any movie get both positive and negative reviews from the critics and the audiences but over all old dogs has been appreciated for both the story and the well played roles by the actors.

In the movie OLD DOGS Charlie (john Travolta) and Dan (Robin Williams) are best friends as well as business partners who were eagerly looking forward to crack a multimillion dollar deal with a Japanese company, simultaneously Dan got a message from his memorable ex, Vicki (Kelly Preston) that he is a father of 7-year old twins which were the result of their impulsive one night marriage. As now Vicki is jail sentenced for three weeks for peacefully protesting she needs someone to take care of the kids. Dan excitedly agreed to keep the twins with him but also has to crack or secure the Japanese contract.

The movie offers a situational comedy with a story line. Dan and Charlie depict a good example of loyal and unconditional friendship leaving the impact on the audiences mind. Dan learns and explores the experiences associated with fatherhood. Eventually he got the realization that what is the meaning of being a father. While making efforts to get multimillion project he discovered his family. The only thing in movie, which was quite off beat, was that Vicki did not disclose about the twin children to Dan for 7 long years. Otherwise the movie has the entire element i.e. comedy, emotions and liveliness. The actors did complete justice to the roles or characters played by them. One can look for a complete package movie in OLD DOGS. A complete delight for audiences.

Most of the critics have given a positive rating to the movie. The special thing about the movie is it not only targets the adults as an audience but also is equally fascinating for children. It makes the parents realize how important is parenting. The movie makes the audience left thinking that what is the importance of family relationships.

Now if we talk about the response among the audience than more of the positive response is given. The actors have been appreciated for getting into the roles so well. Being a comedy movie, it not only leaves the audience laughing but the theme and message is simultaneously conveyed through the movie leaving a relevant impact. It made people think what responsibilities are involved for getting into the relation and how important are the family relationships.
